The mixer grinder is one of the most used appliances in a kitchen, so choosing a good one pays off.
What to check:
1. Motor watts: for daily grinding, about 500 to 750 watts is usually enough. For heavier use, look at higher watts.
2. Jars: steel jars last long. Check the blade and lid build so that it does not leak.
3. Number of jars: three kinds (dry grinding, wet grinding and chutney) usually cover daily needs.
4. Overload protection: a feature that switches the motor off if it overheats is useful.
5. Noise and grip: see in a shop or a video review how much it shakes and how loud it is.
6. Warranty: the motor warranty is usually separate. A service centre nearby helps.
The highest wattage is not always the best. Build quality of the motor and jars matters too.
